• The St. Paul statue portrays him with a sword because it was the instrument through which he was beheaded. Although condemned for being Christian, Paul was entitled to this type of death because he was a Roman citizen. The inscription reads: " To the preacher of truth, the teacher of nations"
• The columns in front of the facade are red Baveno granite. A head of St. Paul is carved into the top of the columns
