• Before the fire, this arch mosaic was originally on the church's facade

• The mosaic, at center, has Christ giving his blessing. To the left of Christ is an ox which is the symbol of the evangelist Luke. To the right of Christ is a lion which is the symbol of the evangelist Mark. The symbols of the other two evangelists, Matthew and John, are on each side of the apse. On the lower left is Paul and on the lower right is Peter
