• The monument, in the center, has Pius VII (1800-1823) offering a blessing. The left statue is Fortitude and the right statue is Wisdom
• Thorvaldsen's figures seem stiff in contrast with the baroque surroundings. Thorvaldsen's work is the only non-Catholic art found in this church
