• The panel on the left is St. Paul. The panel on the right is St. Peter giving the keys to Eugenius IV. In small letters at Eugenius' feet you can read: "Eugenius IV, Venetian"

 

• These doors were originally used at old St. Peter's by the gift of Pope Eugenius IV (1431-1447). They were cast in Florence
