• Hadrian's Latin inscription says Marcus Agrippa built this during his third term as consul
• The 16 granite columns are about 42 feet high and 15 feet around. Popes Urban VIII and Alexander VII (1655-1667) replaced the three on the left
• The walls have brick from 115-124 which would have been covered with marble
• The niches on each side of the main door had large statues of Agrippa, on the left, and Augustus, on the right
