Easter Candlestick
Artist: Nicolaus de Angelo; Petro Bassaletto
Date: 1170
• The scenes on the candlestick are of Jesus' suffering, death, resurrection, and ascension as well as of various animals. Jesus is clothed in a tunic which was an iconographic tradition that was falling out of favor at the time
• The base and top may have been reused from an older candlestick. It is about 18 feet in height
• At the base the inscription reads: "I Nicolaus de Angelo with Petro Bassaletto produced this work."
