• The relief on the left is the Betrayal of Jesus. This story is found in the Bible in Matthew 26:47-56, Mark 14:43-52, Luke 22:47-53 and John 18:2-12. Similar to Joseph sold into slavery, Jesus is sold into death

• The relief on the right is Jesus' Harrowing of Hell. This reference is found in the Bible in 1 Peter 4:6 and Ephesians 4:9. Similar to Moses crossing the Red sea, Jesus crosses the gulf of hell for heaven

• The prophet on the upper right is Jonah. The prophet on the upper left is Amos
