• St. Stanislaus Kostka (1550-1568) died in these rooms on August 15, 1586. He is buried in this church in the chapel bearing his name

• St. Stanislaus actually died in another building to the right of the present church. While that building was destroyed, in 1888-1889 the rooms were reconstructed in the present location
