Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola

• The marble angels above the painting are by Monnot
Artist: Pierre Le Gros and Federico Ludovici (1st); Adamo Tadolini and Antonio Canova (2nd; 1804)
• In place of the painting, there previously was a statue of St. Ignatius made mainly of silver. When the French took over Rome in 1798 parts of it were melted down to pay reparations. Later a second statue was cast using stucco covered in silver
