• The monument is Tomb of Pope Alexander VII (1655-1667). The pope prays on his knees while Death holds an hourglass to indicate his life is running out of time. In the front, Charity is the statue on the left and Truth is on the right. In the back, Justice is on the left and Prudence on the right

 

• This is one of the final works of Bernini. Most of the work was completed by his helpers but he perhaps carved the pope's head himself
