• This is Burial of St. Petronilla. The original painting is in the Capitoline Museum in Rome

• The relics of St. Petronilla (200s) were moved from the catacombs of Domitilla to old St. Peter's during the reign of Pope Paul I (757-767). They were then transferred to the new St. Peter's in 1606

• The cupola mosaic is Heavenly Militia

• The pendentives, from top left clockwise, are church fathers who have written on angels including Dionysius the Areopagite, Flavian of Constantinople, St. Leo the Great, and St. Bernard
