• This was probably the original location of the Oratory of the Manger, which held the relics of Jesus' manger, made by Arnolfo di Cambio around 1289. The Oratory was completely moved into the Sistine Chapel confession in 1587. The manger relics were moved again in 1864 into the present location in the confession in front of the main altar
