• The Dominican Father Antonio Gonzales, Bishop of Caracas, directed the rededication of the chapel to St. Rose of Lima after 1671. During this time, the chapel walls were faced with polychrome marbles with flower decorations.  One of these includes a rose motif which recalls the saint's name
