• Above St. Paul is the inscription, "Arnolfo did this work", which is continued above St. Peter, on the opposite side, "with his assistant Pietro." This assistant is likely Pietro di Oderisio

• To the right of St. Paul, a smaller St. Paul receives the baldachin from the abbot Bartholomew on the other side of the arch
