The statue shows his conversion moment when he sees a cross in the sky and hears a divine voice saying "You will conquer in this sign" • The niche statues are faith, hope, charity, and the Church (none are pictured)

Anchor 1 ▼ ▲ St. Benedict • St. Benedict lived from 480-546 • Below the statue is an inscription with the names of those clergy present during the proclamation of the Immaculate Conception of Mary by Pope Pius IX (1792-1878) on December 8, 1854. There are two other inscriptions which also contain names with the final one recording the event itself

Anchor 1 ▼ ▲ ▶ ◀ All Saints Chapel • Originally of the Vittori family, this chapel was later given to the Altieri family. In 1671 the chapel was dedicated to the Virgin and all the saints by Pope Clement X. This especially included those saints canonized by Pope Clement X: St. Louis Bertrand, St. Rose of Lima, St. Filippo Benizzi, St. Francesco Borgia, and St. Gaetano Thiene. St Louis and St. Rose were also Dominicans

He died in the adjoining monastery February 18, 1455 • The Virgin and Child in the Frangipane Chapel is attributed to him and a modern copy of his St. Dominic is found in the Chapel of St. Dominic ◀ ▶

The four visible here are, from left: Nativity, Dormition of the Virgin, Adoration of the Magi, and Presentation • The Dormition in the center connects with the apse above in that, after Mary's earthly life, she was crowned in heaven. The portico itself had been completed in 1612 • Under the central three arches of the entryway can be seen lists with the names of clergy that were present for the declaration of Mary's Assumption into Heaven by Pope Pius XII (1939-1958) on November 1, 1950 ▲ ▶ ◀
