As Peter was leaving Rome in order to avoid being killed, Jesus appeared on the road. Peter asked him "Lord, where are you going?" to which Jesus replied, "I go to be crucified a second time." Peter then returned to Rome. The location where this is to have taken place is about a mile north from here at the Quo Vadis church
