At that time the Frangipane chapel was dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene • The marble base of the baptismal font is from the 1724 renovation of the chapel following the plan of Filippo Raguzzini

During this time, the chapel walls were faced with polychrome marbles with flower decorations. One of these includes a rose motif which recalls the saint's name ▲ ◀

From left, Claudius converts Simplicius, Simplicius baptized by Cyril of Antioch, sculptors ordered to make statue of Asclepius, the sculptors, sculptors scourged, widow of Lampadius requests death, Nicetas forces sculptors into caskets and puts them in the Sava river (not pictured) ▼
